Medical Guidance

1. Parents are requested to inculcate healthy habits in their children, including:

a) Maintaining personal hygiene such as trimmed nails, clean attire, good oral hygiene and regular haircuts.

b) Ensuring adequate sleep of at least 8 hours daily.

c) Encouraging daily physical exercise and outdoor activity.

d) Providing a balanced and nutritious diet rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

e) Sending safe drinking water (boiled or filtered). Students are advised to bring their own water bottles.

f) Avoiding consumption of food items such as ice-creams, milk products and eatables from roadside vendors. g) Periodic deworming of children at least once a year, as advised by a family physician.

2. Parents must ensure that their children are immunized as per the Government of India and State Government immunization schedule and submit updated immunization records when required. Recommended immunizations include:

a) BCG b) DPT (before entry to school) c) Oral Polio

d) Measles/MMR e) Tetanus Booster (between 7–16 years and in case of injury)

f) Typhoid (every 2–3 years, oral/injection) g) Chicken Pox and Meningitis (as advised)

3. Annual dental and ophthalmic (eye) check-ups are strongly recommended.

4. Students suffering from contagious diseases such as chicken pox, measles, cholera, mumps, whooping cough, jaundice, conjunctivitis, scabies or similar infections must observe the prescribed quarantine period and should not attend school until medically fit.

5. Parents must inform the school if their ward is medically unfit to participate in any school activity and submit a medical certificate wherever required.

Medical Records:

● Parents of new students must submit the Medical History Form at the time of admission.

● Parents of existing students must update medical records only if there is any change in medical condition.

** Please inform the school authorities if your ward is medically unfit to undertake any activities in the school. Please supplement your application along with a medical certificate.
